Impressed Current Cathodic Protection System with Monitoring (ICCP)
TOOS GUARD P50S is a cathodic protection system based on the impressed current method (ICCP), developed over many years of practical experience at sea. The latest version employs high-quality electrical equipment and hull units designed to withstand the rigours of shipboard use with minimal maintenance.
The system automatically controls the output current by means of a reference electrode, keeping the current level — and therefore the level of protection — at its optimum. This current is constantly monitored and regulated by the system itself to stop the electrochemical action of galvanic corrosion before it begins.
