Cathodic Protection Monitoring & Black Box System
The corrosion monitoring and black box system continuously controls the performance of the cathodic protection systems and informs the ship's crew about faults occurring in these systems. Immediate awareness helps the crew make suitable decisions and prevents corrosion of the ship and the resulting high costs. In addition, recording the cathodic protection system's performance provides a valuable source of data. The system uses reference cells mounted on the hull where the risk of corrosion is highest.
