Fire-Protected Rescue Boat

The most important use of this vessel is in rescue operations at offshore oil platforms and fuel-carrying vessels. Its quality has been inspected and approved under the supervision and according to the regulations of classification societies.

The vessel is a watertight, enclosed-cabin craft with 32 seats, designed and built to rescue a maximum of 32 persons in emergency conditions.

The vessel is designed so that, in waters where parts of the surface are covered with fire, it can be used for up to 8 minutes to rescue crew. All the vessel’s doors are closed during the rescue operation, and the oxygen needed by the crew is supplied from cylinders installed on board. In addition, once the vessel has left the fire area, water-spray systems on the hull are used.

This fire-protected rescue boat is equipped with suitable internal and external communications, electronic equipment, alarm systems and emergency-signal transmission, and all of the vessel’s onboard equipment complies with the SOLAS regulations.

If this vessel capsizes for any reason, it must be able to right itself back to its original position. Oars are also provided inside the vessel so that they can be used if the propulsion system fails or breaks away.
