Following the order of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and the directive of Brigadier General Hatami that the agencies affiliated with the Ministry of Defense be ready to assist the flood-stricken areas of Mazandaran and Golestan provinces, the Marine Industries Organization prepared 32 vessels to speed up the relief process.

In this regard, Rear Admiral Rastegari said: in accordance with this order, the personnel of the Marine Industries Organization entered the field from the very moment the flood occurred, alongside other armed forces and government agencies, with all their resources, in order to play their part properly in relief operations.

Referring to the Marine Industries Organization’s cooperation with relief organizations, he added: the greatest damage has been inflicted on people’s property and farmland, and we tried, with the fullest possible accompaniment and cooperation, to ease the suffering of those affected. He said: as soon as the rains began and the flood started in Golestan, the personnel of the Marine Industries Organization placed the preparation of 32 vessels on their agenda in order to stand by the people alongside other government and military bodies. Stating that the vessels provided were of the canoe and motorboat types, Rear Admiral Rastegari noted: due to the difficult conditions of travel on the inundated routes in the affected areas, the canoe boats were able to speed up relief in the narrow passages and water-logged paths. He pointed out: the canoes with fiberglass hulls performed their role well in moving relief personnel, helping the injured, carrying cargo and speeding up the distribution of food supplies.
